The Youth Firearms Safety & Education program was established in 2019, Along with our mentorship program for youth and young adults. We recognized a need in our community for education around the safe storage and handling of firearms. We are seeing far too many incidents of ignorant and negligent behavior, by both our youth and adults, leading to unintended injuries and or deaths by firearms in our community!
We do not feel, that the answer is more laws and regulations! We understand and stand by the idea of Education over Legislation. Our mentorship and YFSE program focuses on educating youth and young adults 3yr - 21yrs of age and their parents or guardians on the positive uses of firearms, historical figures in our community. As well as the Black Tradition of Arms, situational awareness, and fundamentals of firearm safety, safe storage, and most importantly mental health awareness. A one-on-one practical learning experience is also offered, on the gun range, demonstrating safe gun handling and marksmanship skills learned in the class.
Developing young Kings and Queens to be responsible, disciplined & proficient in life and with firearms!
Our goal is to create positive perspectives, build respect and discipline, and promote responsible firearms ownership. By leading our youth and young adults with education, we can increase positive experiences and decrease the number of negligent incidents occurring in our community!

Our program along with the parents play a key role in developing safe practices and are ultimately responsible for the behavior and safety of the youth. Isolated lessons and concepts can quickly be forgotten but with repetition, youth remember standard safety procedures. The goal of the GunSafety program is to help you bring up an important safety issue with your child. It's not a complicated or confusing message, and it's easy and fun to teach. If children see a gun, they need to remember: “STOP! DON’T TOUCH. RUN AWAY. TELL A GROWN-UP.”

Youth Firearms Safety Education
Our course is designed for youths with no previous shooting experience and their parents, who may or may not have shot before. Students will have the opportunity to practice the skills learned in class with their parent through dry practice using dummy rounds before moving on to live-fire exercises on the range.
Youth Program Fundraiser
We are launching a fundraising effort to continue our youth program, benefiting both our members and the local youth community. Our program covers essential topics including financial literacy, and other areas of interest to young people. Regular gatherings on the third Saturday of each month offer meals, recreational activities, and life skills development, including accident prevention awareness. Moreover, we conduct workshops for parents and guardians focusing on safety and responsible storage practices. Your donation will help us maintain this vital community educational resource.
