Requirements to Start the Process for NAAGA Chapter 

• Have an active and paid membership status for at least 90 days. 
• Familiarize oneself with the policies, procedures, culture, and mission of NAAGA.   
• Review existing chapters in your city and state to ensure the impending chapter is at least 35 miles away from a current one.

**CHAPTERS MUST BE AT LEAST 35 MILES APART**

• Schedule a background check. The cost to you is $35.00 and comprises a full federal review of 50 states, a health check, and any misdemeanors obtained.
• Background exceptions apply to active military with HI clearance and FBI members only.

Required Coursework

NAAGA requires all chapter presidents to complete the following assignments within the first 90 days of establishing a gun club. 

• Take the New Members Orientation Class - THE "NMOC"
• Take a CPR & AED Course or Gun Shot Wound Care Class
• Select a certified Range Safety Officer (RSO) in Chapter (NAAGA, USCCA, NRA, etc.) 
• Complete interview with State/Regional Director
• Interview existing chapter or attend meeting to get an understanding of the organization
